SEIU-Community Clinics Partnership

The SEIU-Community Clinics Partnership is a voluntary collaboration between California-based Community Health Centers (FQHCs) and Locals of the Service Employee International Union (SEIU) to work cooperatively on issues we jointly identify to uplift Health Centers, workers, the patients we serve and communities in which we live and work.

What is the SEIU-Community Clinic Labor Management Cooperation Committee?

  • The SEIU-Community Clinics Partnership is a voluntary collaboration between California-based Community Health Centers (FQHCs) and Locals of the Service Employee International Union (SEIU) to work cooperatively on issues we jointly identify to uplift Health Centers, workers, the patients we serve and communities in which we live and work.

  • It is a state-wide organization that includes Health Centers and SEIU Locals representing health care workers throughout the state, with the support of the national SEIU and SEIU-California. Also known as a Labor Management Cooperation Committee (LMCC) under federal law, it operates as a non-profit organization with a jointly-governed Trust Fund led by equal representation from participating Health Centers and local unions.

  • Congress is considering potential Federal budget cuts that would gut Medicaid, known as Medi-Cal in California, which could radically reduce access to healthcare for millions of Californians.

OUR VALUES

Shared Committments

We are committed to enhancing Health Centers, the community clinic workforce, and the care they provide to our most vulnerable communities, based on our shared commitment to civil rights, immigrant rights, equity, and justice.

LEVERAGED STRENGTHS

We appreciate the relative strengths each organization brings to joint efforts, so we can achieve more together than we otherwise could alone.

ONGOING COLLABORATION

We believe having a durable means of working together allows us to jointly identify opportunities and rapidly address challenges in our industry as they arise, creating a strategic way to meet our shared goals.
